This section lists current research for the anxiety disorders in children, adolescents and young people. If you would like your child to participate in research to help us understand and improve our knowledge and the wellbeing of young people, then take a look at the research page. Examples include:
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Research:
- Marian Kolta from Swinburne University along with the Academic Child Psychiatry Unit - Royal Children's Hospital seek to better understand Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This study is looking for children and adolescents between 7-16 years of age who have either received a formal diagnosis of OCD by a qualified psychologist or exhibit some obsessive or compulsive behaviours.
Bullying Research:
- Emma Wade from RMIT University has developed a program to help minimise bullying: BRAVO (Building Resilience and Victim's Optimism). This is a free program for Year 7 students to participate in. It focuses on teaching skills to victims of bullying that will enable them to cope more effectively with peer conflicts. The research has been approved by RMIT Human Research Ethics Committee.
See the research section for more detailed information.
