Outline of treatment approach:

Gino Carrafa holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Behavioural Health Science and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, Sociology and Communication. He is a fully Registered Psychologist with the Victorian Psychologists Registration Board and is a member of the Victorian Psychological and Medical Scientists Association. Gino is also an Occupational Health Psychologist and has for than 12 years successfully provided occupational and psychological services to individuals and groups.

Anxiety can present itself in many different ways to individuals. The ways that it is experienced can influence the approach taken to combat the effects it has on the mind and body. A high proportion of the people whom Gino has treated have suffered from one form or another of anxiety.

Some people report physical symptoms such as shortness of breath, racing heart, dizziness, vomiting, stiff of limbs, dry mouth shaking, and tingling. In some instances the symptoms are not long lasting however for many the symptoms can be debilitating and disruptive to life. The manifestation of anxiety can be brought about by poorly resolved issues or inappropriately treated long standing complex issues.

By exploring the origins and pattern of the symptoms, Gino assists with the recognition of anxiety, and how to combat the severity of the experience. By taking a holistic approach and looking lifestyle, personality and thinking factors. Each individual can learn ways to initiate techniques that help reduce the impact of the anxiety.
