My speciality area is anxiety of any type:
Generalised (GAD) Social Phobia, General Phobia’s, Performance Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Separation Anxiety, night terrors etc.
I have been in practise for 28 years, and over this time have developed highly effective treatment programs. My main techniques are a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), behavioural exposure and hypnosis. I also give lectures and seminars on anxiety management and hypnosis. My previous employment has been as a teacher and then school psychologist and as such I have a long history of treating intellectual and social disorders in children and adolescents. I work with many performance areas – specifically tennis (and other sports), actors, singers, musicians, speech makers etc. Anxiety disorders respond really well to CBT – they are my favourite group to work with.
