Therapeutic Techniques Used

  • I used to employ cognitive behaviour therapeutic (CBT) approaches almost exclusively. Now I focus on helping people find their solutions and that usually means a combination of therapy modalities.

Outline of Treatment approach:

Although I know that anxiety - with or without episodes of panic - can be debilitating and disturbing, one of the first things my clients and I do is to focus on what IS working in their life. Yes, we speak about how problems of low self esteem, fears and phobias can affect your life negatively. However, it is my personal and professional belief that you need to be re-connected with your strengths and insights. I work to help you to identify how you'll use your unique gifts to manage your life better.

I've worked for two decades with people who experience all levels of terror when faced with public speaking and/or when faced with what we call normal life - whatever that is. It's almost OK to feel afraid about public speaking, but many of my wonderful clients say that they feel ashamed about feeling terrified or anxious about going shopping, or driving on a freeway. Whatever the trigger for your fears, I can help you to leave those fears in the past.

I love working with people to help them to build the cornerstone of all happiness - esteem of self.
